my favorite part of watching Critical Role is watching Travis just exist when everyone is role playing around him.
like during ep 77 he was just rolling some dice for fun and sitting back with his knee on the table. i love that man i hugged that man

one of the DMs I play with has, like, 70 slips of paper that say, “Loading,” with bits of random D&D mechanics advice (“partial cover grants +2 to AC”) that he slots onto his DM screen when he needs to look something up, assemble something, or think up a mechanic for player bullshit.

we were moving so fast…
I love the way their color palettes revolve around one another.
In that last gif, as they’re breaking apart, Stede is all in dark colors while Ed is all in light. But they’re not perfect white and black—the colors are muddied and edging toward gray.
Compare that to the day they met: Stede in pure white and Ed in pure black. Or when they’re both at the academy, together in light colors.
They are yin and yang, land and sea, a damn lighthouse—in a constant revolution of light and dark.
They’re two men who think in extremes, and the thing the need most is to find the middle ground, the true gray space where they can stop spinning and be together.
